coreys funeral

On wednesday we went to coreys funeral at snapper rock road albany. We took holly with us.It took us a long time to get there. We saw coreys coffin inside the car that held the coffins.We sat down on the floor and waited for everyone to get there.A lady stood up and talked about corey. Then we watched a slide show about him with crazy frog music.It had funny pictures of corey. At the end we all had to sign the book and let go of a balloon.It was a sad day.

Anzac day technology

On Friday the 23rd the senior syndicate classes held an Anzac day

poppy technology challenge

 first we were given the materials we needed then we paired up into groups with two people from each class.next we started to plan our design.we had our red paper and started to cut out our pedals.the poppy had to be as tall and as wide as possible, but it actually had to look like a poppy.we had half an hour to make it. once everybody had made their Poppy's we all went out onto the deck and the teachers were judging.the winning team was Aimee, holly, Luke, Daniel and Nyah.

Room Fives Camp Cooking

Today we made spagetti bolognese to take on camp with us.
The ingredients were:

canola oil

onion

garlic

beef mince

tin tomatoes

water

oregano

diamond spaghetti

celery.

 

I was peeling the carrots and Jen was chopping them.

We put the mince in the saucepan and stirred it until it was no longer red.   We added the tomatoes,water,stock,salt and oregano.then we added the carrots and the celery.we stirred the extra vegetables until they were tender and no longer crunchy.we stirred them until the delicious concoction was complete.
