Calendar Art

This year we chose a favourite animal to feature on our calendars. We used pastel for the colour work and included a pattern in the background. We used match sticks and toothpicks to give texture. We covered the pastel with dark purple dye to give depth. Then we cut our picture into rectangular pieces, chose a suitable colour for the background and pasted the pieces onto the coloured paper to give a mosaic effect. Our calendar animal art on PhotoPeach
