Weet-Bix triathalon 2010

On the 21st of March the Weet-bix triathalon was held at Narrow Neck beach in Auckland. Seven people that go to Tomarata School participated in it. We had to get up at 5 o'clock and we left the house at 5:40. After a long car trip we arrived at the triathalon. The park was crowded because there were 2200 kids participating: The biggest Weetbix triathalon in history. After a race breifing we went down to the beach to start the first leg of the race. We had to swim about 200 metres and then run to the next leg of the race. We had to bike about 2 kilometres and then tag the runner so he could start the next leg of the race.We had to run about 1 kilometre before running to the finish where we got our gold medals. all the Tomarata kids did very well and all got at least top ten in their age groups. After the races we had time to have a rest and get our t-shirts signed by some mayor athaletes including Anthony Borok, Tony Woodcock and Temepara george. Then we had a raffle and went back into the cars for another long trip back home.
