Medieval Art

The last couple of days room5 have been doing wonderfull art with Mrs Lomas. We used indian ink to create the art. We made it on shiny white paper. I will tell you the process. First we drew our designs on a normal piece of A4 paper. Then we copied them onto the shiny paper. After that we indian inked (that was really fun). I drew a queen sitting on her throne. She had black tied up hair and a gown on. My picture turned out really great. I really enjoyed the art. It was really fun.

Medieval manuscripts

Room 5 has been learning from a great artist.(Mrs Lomas) We have been learning about the Middle ages, so we have done some medeival manuscripts on people that worked in the medeival ages. I chose to do a knight and a horse on its hind legs because they are brave and fight till the death. We used indan ink with bamboo sticks to do black lines. To fill in gaps we used crosshatching.

Guy fawkes

On Saturday night a dazzling display of spectacular fire works. They were amazing. We liked the screamers! There were 3 inflatable rides. The chipmunk slide was massive. There was one that had two long lanes and one person would go in in each lane. You would have a harness around your waist. You would have a certain amount of bungy cords attached to the harness and you would try to get to the very end of the lane to grab a rectanglar piece of velcro. It was extremeley hard.
For little kids there there was a small bouncy castle that looked pretty fun for infants. There was a huge selection of food. We loved the lollies and the raffles were great.
I wish though that some of the teenagers woud be more careful and considerate.

Guy Fawkes

On Saturday the 6th of November we had Guy Fawkes. It was really fun. We liked all the rides but it would be better if there were more. A few people were doind flips and other stunts down the slides though so it was quite dangerous. The fireworks were Awesome, especially the colourful ones. All of the food was delicious but the lollies were the best. We wanted to buy one of the BIG glow sticks but once we got at the front of the line to get one they were all sold out. Next year we hope there will be more rides, cheaper rides, more food and more stalls.
