Guitar with Mrs Coop

We are having a lot a fun with our guitars at the moment.  We  are starting to learn some rock songs.  I like The passenger and the The Blues orientation.

Most of the people at our class have been playing for a year now and are getting pretty good.

But one of my friends have been playing for only two weeks.

                               ACTIVE LEARNING CLASS

Every Thursday some people in our class go to an extra class called Active Learning class.  Every year the subject changes. This year we are focusing on inventions.
We studied Thomas Edison, a famous man who invented the light bulb.
Then we got a piece of pumice and broke a piece off it.Then we tried to break particles up into smaller particles. We did it before we broke through the sheet.
Then we discussed the atoms, neutrons and protons.

KIWI KICK

Every Thursday during our lunchtime Adam and Candice come to school and teach us about Kiwi Kick.  Kiwi kick is Aussie Rules Football.  They teach us how to hand ball it, kick  and dribble it.
On the second day they handed out the school bags.  In them  they had... Fliers, Lunchbox, Drink bottle and a Rugby ball in them. We hope to have even more fun with them.

200 metre challenge

On Friday 18th of February some students in Room 5 & 6 ( Years 6,7 and 8) went to Tomarata Lakes for the 200 metre swimming challenge. We had to mark 200 hundred metres of water with a bouy.  We were sorted into groups  by our age and gender.  We had to swim out to the buoy and back, under the watch of the adults in the water. Everyone made it without help or having to stop and we were rewarded with ten minutes free time in the water. It was great fun and everyone enjoyed it.  Thanks to Mr Macdonald for borrowing the kayaks for us to help us keep safe.

The Worm Farm!!!

The Worm Farm!!!

On Tuesday the 16th of February the new
room 5 class cleaned out the worm farm.
It was gross.  It was slimy because the news paper was wet.
I got to put the worms pee in the milk bottles.  It was fun.
The girls were doing all the hard work
while the boys were cutting  the vine off the trellis.
Now the worm farm is up and running so please only put food
scraps in the green bin.
